Method
- Sauce: soy + sesame oil + brown sugar + garlic + ginger + red pepper flakes.
- Brown ground beef in a hot pan. Drain most fat.
- Pour sauce over beef. Stir 1-2 min on medium.
- Cook frozen veg separately in sesame oil.
- Portion: rice → veg → beef. Spoon pan sauce over top.
- Top with green onion.
- Toppings: fried egg (adds protein + richness), sesame seeds, cucumber slices, sriracha.
- This is the best bang-for-buck meal in the rotation. $1-2/serving.
- Reheat: microwave 2-3 min, add a small splash of water and cover with a damp paper towel, stir halfway through.
